On holidays at our friends' beach house at South Golden Beach on north NSW coast. Setup the keyboard but seat height is a problem! But Tom and William soldiering on.
For some reason the novelty of the keyboard vis a vis the piano encourages them both to play particularly William.
He is very obstinate! The same tactics as Tom are not as effective. Even playing games, if it gets tricky (like using fingers 4 and 5) he says, "that's hard Mummy" and assumes that's the end of that! I said well, sometimes piano is hard but if we practice it will get easier. I asked him if Tom plays his pieces once or many times? W refused to answer and went into a strop which took a bit to get around.
Luckily for me t was more willing and did a good half hour even though it was late. His cradle song is really lovely now.
Must admit I came close to letting today's practice slide - we're on holiday after all, but I dug deep and it was worth it!Labels: Suzuki piano
