A tendency to over commit ....

Just made it through today.  After a week of late nights due to D's study, pilates, Max Brenner date with D and shopping at Aldi for Swim Club BBQ last night, and then swim club tonight - my body gave up on me.

The so-called round ligaments that keep my uterus in place went on a noisy picket line strike.  Ow ow ow ow ow.  More acute for me than labour pains.  D didn't know what to do with his wife writhing on the bed uttering the f-word under her breath, even with kids present!

However  a lie down, massage from hubby of aforementioned ligaments, a hot, long shower, a large glass of Endura (magnesium to minimise cramps) (and all children in bed thank you my darling husband) - I am feeling normal again.

Why did we take on BBQ Convener for the Swim Club?  Well frankly because it needed to be done and T loves swim club.

Why did we take on being Coach for the Cricket Club?  This involves Damien coaching training from 4pm Wednesday, as well all morning Saturday standing behind the bowler coaching every ball bowled or struck.  Which means if I go to cricket I have to kid wrangle W, E and eventually new baby singlehandedly. Why?  Because T so much wanted D to be coach and also D wanted to learn how to coach and be involved with T.

Why do we over commit?  Because there is nothing I commit to that I don't want to do - so it is willing and self-inflicted, so I should stop whingeing!

Just got to make sure the old body can keep up!  Which means healthy eating (oh dear I haven't exactly been a model on that recently) and exercise.  If I must have children so very late in life, I am just going to have to live a long life to enjoy watching them grow, and hopefully seeing some grandchildren.

One very very good thing this week - is that D finished his MBA!  Well done him!  Also well survived us as family!  At least this means D has his spare time to spend with us now.  So looking forward to a few dates before bubs arrives - may even stretch it to a night away if we can!  Yay!
