Our day started with the Sushi Chef making me some breakfast at his kitchen. It was W who decided the Indian Feather hat that he had made at craft one morning was actually that of the sushi chef! Love the fruit and vegetables that are velcroed together as a toy - the kids love 'cutting' and 'chopping' them up! Great, cheap toy - recommend for Christmas!
Having just had a lovely tea on Wednesday with my doula, L where I commented that I had yet to feel like nesting yet, yesterday it kicked in! L suggested that I was not ready to give birth if I hadn't had the urge yet! So maybe now that I have had it - we are nearly there!
So it started with the linen closet this morning - see picture above. It won't stay that way for long - but it looks good now!
Then, the nesting 'to do' list - most of which fall into D's area. D has been WONDERFUL going along with my day of nesting. I took on the bathrooms ('tis hard to clean a toilet 39 weeks pregnant), the aforeblogged linen closet and then, stupidly, the puzzles, books and games. Oh my.
We have a lot of puzzles and games. Most of the puzzles are courtesy of my cousin, A and her kids. They are a puzzle crazy family and she has kindly lent them to me for my kids (her kids are leaving school now). But this activity involved sticky taping broken boxes, reuniting instructions with games, reuniting puzzle pieces, bagging up lose bits (like dice in games) so they don't get lost, AND sorting them by age group (that is, for T or W or E).
It was scary when I got it all on the dining room table! At the end of the year, when T gets his room downstairs, all of these will go on his book shelves. In the meantime I have plastic tubbed them temporarily and put in the study.
Frothy, warm milk for Sunday morning tea with requisite milk moustaches!
And I also captured a lovely cuddle with Dad with a sleepy E - ohhh so gorgeous - both of them!
