Danna & Bumpa arrive

So very exciting!  Watching D&B's plane come in.  Pulled T out of school early so we could be there when they arrived.  I think little boys could stay all day at an airport lounge window very happily watching planes, baggage trucks, petrol tankers, baggage handlers and plane flag wavers, etc.  Also airports have lifts and escalators and travelators.  What more could a boy want really?  T has ambitions to be a baggage handler when he grows up.  D suggested a pilot.  I said CEO of an airline rather!  Or venture capitalist investing in an airline?

E, somewhat surprisingly, was completely comfortable with D&B straight away.  He is normally very wary of new faces or situations.  Skype probably helps, but also the fact that W & T were so excited - he mirrors their emotions!

Boazy the talking cockatoo in Chelmer.  Before we even dropped D&B at Sherwood, we stopped in to visit Boazy.  The boys had met him on their last trip with D&B.  He is over 50 years old apparently and copies his owner's emphysemic cough to perfection!  Very strange.  He also can say all the classics such as 'Polly want a cracker', 'hello', etc.  I am sure he says more also.

Cuddles on the couch.

Today is Christmas tree decorating day, and D&B and cousin N are coming to put up the tree and the house lights.  I had intentions of buying new decorations this year (ours are your el cheapo numbers from many years ago) and sewing a Christmas bunting I saw in Spotlight.  It didn't happen - so el cheapo decorations will get another whirl!
