Suzuki Piano - Keeping it real ...

Well no practice on the piano this weekend - I just didn't make the effort to make it happen.... I suffered the consequences this morning with T.

He was recalcitrant - more than normal about practice.  We managed 45 minutes of which the first 20 minutes were horrendous.  His attitude and frustration and he couldn't play his pieces.  Even Ecossaise which is the first piece in Book 2 and he has been playing since the start of the year!

Aaaaaggghhhhh.

But it got better even though he was upset and I was upset for a good deal of the practice.

It makes me question if it is all worth it .....

However I had a good practice with W - our first in a long time.  I think we managed about 10 minutes?  Maybe 15 minutes.  He is easily frustrated and doesn't like doing anything he can't do straight away.  Like using his ring and baby finger!

Anyway, now I miss T - wish we homeschooled sometimes so that we could have more time with him.  You really only need less than two hours of home schooling to make up for a full school day - but I think even I won't take that on with four children.  W misses him too.
