It's been a week or more since my last blogging. T has had the computer at school which means that my blog time is drastically reduced to preschool and witching hour or weekends. All not conducive to any time on my own. Even now this blog is written a phrase at a time, as I am trying to get E to go to bed .... He is fighting sleep morning and night at the moment - poor D has to go to him many times a night, so we have actually setup a spare bed in E's room for D. The last two nights I fell asleep on said bed whilst waiting for E to go to sleep. I only progressed into my own bed when S woke for his first feed of the night at about 11pm.
Why oh why is E such a slow developer when it comes to TV? The most we get is the opening song in Tikkabilla or In the Night Garden, then he is bored. May I tell ALL new parents - that this milestone is the ONLY important one - the only one you want them to hit early.
If I could have half an hour in the morning and half an hour in the afternoon where I get to run around and tidy the house, make dinner, put a washing load out etc (or indeed write a blog post, watch an episode of DA, or read a chapter of my Murasaki novel), one happy little camper of a mother, it would make.
Loving his brother.
S is growing up so much! He is so much happier lying on his mat, being in his bouncer, playing under his playgym. Only for 10 minutes or so - but that is 10 minutes I am not holding him and once again that gives me time for list as above. Also add to list - drinking a cup of tea/coffee before it gets cold.
Baking. Every woman's saviour for bored children. Can give you entertainment for up to an hour if you include licking bowl and doing washing up (I sit them on counter beside the sink with water dripping, brush in hand and safe stuff in sink to wash (that is, no knives, graters, etc)).
Ain't this the cutest photo of them both? xxx
