Sammy is 9 weeks this week - wow where did that time go? (Well certainly not in sleep, I know that!)
So a flurry of photos taken this week so as to capture this fast-growing last child of mine. He is feeding heaps during the day (every 2 -3 hours) and about 4 hourly at night. So he grows longer and longer. He is no way near as fat as my other kids, particularly W - who could forget W!
Here is W at 9 weeks! Fat bubba! "Feeding from the top paddock""Making cream not milk" Yes I got all the usual comments!
But back to S ----
Here are some shots of S where I am trying to catch his new smile. It is so beautiful and still so coy at the moment. I love it when he smiles first thing in the morning - almost makes me glad to be awake ... almost. Mornings are my absolute worst time of the day. I used to be a morning person too! Now it takes a shower, a coffee and about an hour for me to come out of the fog.
"Does my bum look big in this?"
Yes S it does. Because your mother uses cloth nappies.
I don't know many others who do use cloth nappies - but mainly to save on the cost of two lots of nappies (S and E currently - though E very nearly toilet trained - more on that later - oooh, how exciting you all say!) I use pea pods nappies during the day.
My husband is not convinced - as you do have to change them more frequently. BUT the good thing is the poo does not get all squashed like in a disposable - so poo clean up is easier and it goes in the toilet - not stinking out my wheelie bin.
The environmental benefits - not sure as I do end up washing every day - but just a quick front load wash - some more greenie person will be able to tell me if it is better to reduce landfill or reduce water?!
But I loathe putting poo in the wheelie pin and I loathe cleaning adult size poos squashed into toddler bums - so I much prefer it.
BUT it does make S' bum look big in his clothes!
