Eddie's 2nd Birthday

Oh my goodness.  Life has got the better of me.  It has been such a long time since I have had time to do a blog post - and tonight, there is still no time - but I will eat into my sleep time to type this one up before I forget all that I want to remember.

My little Eddie was two years old on the 26th February.  We had a little family gathering (that ended up having very little family - Damien was stuck at work and the grandparents couldn't make it) and more a friend gathering - thanks to the S-Ws and Elizabeth, our mother's helper and Caroline, our old au pair who has returned from holiday.

Elizabeth bought E a new mower as the old one has a bung wheel and it so tiring to keep putting it back on.  This one blows bubbles as well.  We put it beside the pool and it blew bubbles across the water while they all jumped in and tried to catch them.  Much fun.  Until the mower nose dived into the pool.  It is/was battery operated!

Other gifts were a police car, an ambulance, a fire truck (do you get the theme?) and a scooter.

A gorgeous photo of Elizabeth and the birthday boy.  By the way, E is potty training hence no undies in lots of shots!

The only photo (a blurry one at that) of Mummy and Eddie.  Sad.

This is priceless.  Eddie needs a bubble saying, "Yes, I'm with stupid!" or something similar!

Party food, cupcakes, candles and happy birthday songs.  E sings along with the happy birthdays and leads us all for hip hips!

Elizabeth and Sammy.

Garbage truck

Cheersing for dinner.  Dinner was amazing homemade sausage rolls from F S-W - thank you!

Brother still in cast.

Caroline, the traveller, joins us for cake!

I can't believe E is only 2.  I feel like he is more like 4, probably because of his language and how he is W's equal when it comes to trouble and fighting - he can even have T running around the house terrified.  I feel like E should be off to school next year with William but no, he has two more years until kindy and then another to school!

Oh well, my darling monster Eddie - happy birthday and know that your Mummy loves you very very much and I am so looking forward to all your next birthdays.  xxxx
