Serene Sunday

D out running with E in pram, T and W watching tv downstairs and S asleep.  The only movement is the cat.  Wow - treasure this.

Two cups of coffee, six slices of sourdough and butter - lots of internet surfing.  It is W's 4th birthday in a few weeks and he has asked for a doll's house.  I know E also loves the doll's house at daycare so I thought it would be a super present.

Here is a picture of my old Fisher Price dolls house and accessories.  It is/was awesome.  Unfortunately it has been misplaced at M&D's house (fair enough - it has been a while since it was last used).  To buy this on ebay is about $170!!! Including shipping from the US.  What a shame!

Anyway, I am now looking at the Playmobil Take Along Dollhouse:

This is very similar and is only $85 including shipping from Australia.   I have asked a local toystore (Crackerjack Toys Balmoral) if they can match the online price as I would prefer to support them.

There is a much bigger more expensive version - that if you buy all the accessories is probably about $500.

As much as it is tempting and I thought there might be less fighting as more than one child could play with it (three levels, lots of bits), it is really too expensive and also all the bits would end up getting lost I am sure.  Still ..... it would get lots of use ......  Will keep you posted on final purchase. Just because that is how exciting my life is.

(By the way, my serene Sunday is over - D is back and E is fighting with W already.....) (If I just keep typing, maybe it will all go away....)

Big plans for today - oh, my, big plans.

The main benefit of this is so that I can see all their clothes and therefore use them!  I find that we use the same t-shirts and shorts again and again.  And my boys HAVE SO MANY CLOTHES!

My plan is to label each 'column' of clothes on each drawer - "t-shirts", "long sleeve t-shirts", "collared shirts" and "shorts", "play pants", "dress pants" and "undies", "singlets", "summer PJs", "winter PJs".  For each boy.  Yes I am going to be a here a long time.  Slowly slowly catch a monkey.

Aaagh so much for Serene Sunday ..... my ambitions have always been my undoing.
