I need to remind myself again and again how transforming exercise is to one's soul and spirit. I allowed myself to go to Pilates in the morning on Tuesday (using nanny time and during official 'school' hours). It felt naughty and decadent ..... and absolutely empowering.
Today I took Tom to swim training at 6.30am this morning (I am new morning swimming parent designate as I am more effective at getting him out of bed and into the pool with less tantrum) and went for a 30min, 5 kilometre run. And subsequently I have had a fabulous day! Nothing different to normal in the day - I just feel so much better and able to handle my daily frustrations!
