We have finally settled into the new house and the new routine. It feels good!
It is nice to know each morning what I need to do each day and where we need to be each day. I have tried to spread it out so one day is not overly busy. At one stage we had Chess, Tennis and Piano all on the same day - too much!
So now we have Tennis and Swimming Monday, Chess and Piano Tuesday, Tennis and Soccer Wednesday, Swimming twice on Thursday, Swimming on Friday. Sounds a lot but it can work! We have Tuesday afternoons clear for friends, as well as all weekend.
Summer season of cricket and swim club and futsal will change this schedule - starts Term 4.
We had a lovely weekend last weekend - we did none of the chores we should have (like hang pictures, go to the dump, take final furniture from old house). Instead we watched documentaries and ate pizza, had friends around, napped and read books. Bliss. Next weekend for the chores, huh?!
The weekend previous to this we went to Coffs Harbour to visit Damien's family. It was a wonderful, laughter-filled weekend with hysterical, tired children thrown in for good measure. We had a big family dinner which was great - D's cousins' children are divine and though teenagers were happy to play and entertain mine.
Tom had my iphone which made for interesting shots!
(Psycho killer?)
This week, as a result I think of my relaxed weekend, I have been able to do so much stuff for me. Thermomix stuff (I love this part time business of mine! Great product, great customers, great team), catching up with friends, blogging (!) and getting on top of our finances. I feel good. Doesn't take much - just a bit of organisation and setting limits etc. Oh and coffee and wine and a sexy husband .....
