Mum woke this morning soooooooo early, like 6am. Normally I would like to sleep in until about 9am and then read in my bed until like lunchtime, but three mornings I get up at 6.30am for tennis at 7am and one morning (Thursdays .... I hate Thursday mornings) I have to get up to be at swimming at 6.30am. I stumble downstairs, have some porridge with Dad and then Mum takes me and William (William comes for the ride as I think Mum and Dad have this deal that everything is easier with only two children so we get split up a lot!).
So we parked at the Valley and Mum and William had coffee and did puzzles and played Uno while I did swim squad. I sometimes play uno with them afterwards and have a milkshake and croissant - I love croissants and Mum bribes me with it every Thursday. Swim squad in summer is great - I didn't much like it in the winter as it was cold. We do lots of things up and down the pool. Us boys muck around at the end of the pool and we get in trouble with the coach sometimes but it is all fun.
When we get home about 8 o'clock, normally Mum is in a flap getting one or two of the little boys ready for kindy. I have some eggs and bacon or pikelets with Dad or our nanny, Elizabeth. This morning I played totem tennis out the back for a bit and also jumped on the trampoline with my brothers.
I went with Mum to drop the boys at kindy. We hung out at William's kindy which has a new playground and I showed the kids how to run like crazy idiots all around the new space. I think Mrs Albury was impressed with how crazy I could make them. I helped Mum with Ed's drop off by telling him I love him and that we would be back soon. He had stopped crying before we left so I think it worked.
When we got home from kindy drop off, I helped Mum hang out the clothes washing and I entertained Sammy a bit while Mum did some stuff. Sammy is pretty cute and likes it when I sing and dance Gangnam style. I also did some research on Halloween on the iPad and then made some Halloween stuff to decorate the garden and house. I wanted to do more, but after Mum put Sammy to bed she said I had to do some real schoolwork. Sometimes I complain about this but today I didn't - I don't know why?
Mum made me do piano first this morning - I am pretty rusty at my old pieces but I got there. It is sooooo frustrating and I lost it at one point and Mum yelled at me but all nothing new. I was pleased though that Mum just let me keep trying and didn't interrupt or try to help. She just sat next to me having a cup of tea and reading something on her iPad. I like piano lessons where Mum doesn't interfere too much. Unfortunately she doesn't do that (not interfere) all that often.
After piano, we did some spelling - pretty easy stuff though the sentences are getting longer. I count down how many to go as I know there are twelve sentences each lesson. Today, Mum only had to remind me once to put a full stop at the end of my sentences. Mum was nearly swooning with delight. Or so she said.
Then we did writing. I always try and skip writing and I prefer grammar. But Mum says writing is important and I do actually, secretly love the stories she reads. Whenever I ask Mum if I can have the whole book to read she immediately gets it on her iPad through Amazon so I read it while I am having lunch.
Between piano and spelling today, I made a hot chocolate and had some finger bun. I also went to the toilet and stayed as long as I could reading until Mum yelled at me to get back to the school table. I had some vegetable slice while Mum read the stories today. I like being able to eat, drink and go to the toilet when I want.
Then we had to go pick up Eddie from kindy so I quickly made myself a toasted cheese sandwich while Mum got Sammy out of bed and into the car. I also had a glass of milk. Now I am playing with my lego - making another Electricity station. Then I have packed seven books to take in the car to watch William's swimming lesson. I hope Mum buys us an icecream while we are there - I will be sure to mention it.... about a dozen times.... on the way there.
At 4.30pm I have cricket training and I hope Dad is home in time to come along to coach. I do love running around with the boys in my team - they are mainly from Coorparoo State School and I play tennis with them too. We are a good team.
After cricket we will come home and go trick or treating with some of the neighbourhood kids. I will have to look after William I think. I am going to wrap us both in toilet paper so that we are Mummys.
I wonder what Mum is cooking for dinner tonight - I hope she gets too tired and wants us to go out to Thai Noodles, but that doesn't happen often enough. Or sushi perhaps? Yeah, as Mum would say, in my dreams.
Then I hope Dad will play Wii with me before bed, and then I can read some more from my books - I just got some new ones delivered in the post - I like reading about four books at a time. I fall asleep reading and I think Mum turns my light out after I go to sleep each night.
But, hey, cool, tennis tomorrow morning .... can't wait!
