I nearly didn't finish this book.
That is not good.
I just didn't like the characters - either of the two main characters.
However - the twist at the end was pretty cool. Very cool. And the twist is why I didn't like the characters.
So that proves the author is smarter than me.
Which I don't like.
So I still don't really like this book, or if I do it is begrudgingly. Against my better judgement.
Some people RAVE about Ian McEwan. I don't. I didn't enjoy "Saturday" even though it came highly recommended.
But .... Sweet Tooth did suck me in, eventually. And now, I feel like reading again. Just because of that damn twist. Damn. Damn Ian McEwan. He is too clever.
