Yes I know I know, I already have four children and am overwhelmed day to day. But I am so clucky! I held a 12 week old baby today and yesterday another baby .... and oh oh oh.
Luckily for ALL involved D has had the snip.
I love babies but I don't want any more children. Well I do, but logically, I know I don't NEED any more children.
Oh goodness me evolution runs strongly in me.
When William and Eddie were the same age as Sammy - I was conceiving the next child. At both of their 1st birthdays I was pregnant but didn't find out until a few weeks later! So Sammy is one next week and I am not pregnant. Not through lack of trying. As I said, the reproduction gene is strong in me at this time clearly (said with voice of some character from Star Wars). Damien is loving it.
So anyway, further to not being pregnant, life proceeds at the chaotic pace as normal.
I am struggling to load photos at the moment - but I have been capturing the every day. As is the purpose of this blog.
In the everyday there is the joy and the light. I see it at unexpected it times and I strive to capture it.
- Today in the car, driving through Whites Hill - the trees are beautiful and the sensation is as if one is the bush.
- Today watching the three big boys in the pool and in the trampoline - happy, playing, being brothers.
- Today hearing and participating in the banter - agreeing that we all love Sammy but it is hit and miss who else we love in the family.
- Today realising that close siblings are our true teachers in human relationships - our safety net relationships, that all will always be forgiven. This is why I love having lots of children. It makes me very popular. First time for everything!
Other news ...
Tom did well at his second Swimming Queensland swim meet - two thirds and one fourth. Much tears and angst at the fourth - but we go through .... Tennis plays out the same sometimes - Tom is unreasonably upset when he loses. It is an ongoing challenge for D and I.
William is a joy - a delight. Who won't take instruction on the piano. This week - a new tactic. Will see how it goes!
Eddie is suffering with his excema and I must go back to paediatrician for stronger cortizone. But E is back in the pool! Not as confident as he was last year but better! Lesson learnt! Don't stop swimming lessons over the winter!
Sammy is .... well Sammy is Sammy. Walking six to eight steps - definitely be walking very confidently for his first birthday. Sammy gets frustrated and boy lets me know! I can't help laughing. It is classic - when he can't turn his walker in the direction he wants to, or when he gets stuck at the top of the ladder on the jungle gym, or when one of the boys steals a toy off him. He's got spunk that boy. Or chutzpah I prefer.
I have had a lovely week this week - watching cricket for four days solid. Real relaxation - took me a day to let go and give in and just watch. As good as meditation. Then today a coffee date instead of homeschool. Loving the freedom.
New science curriculum found for homeschool. California state curriculum freely available for download on net. Year by year text books, workbooks and lab books. Seriously good stuff! Well best go and have some time with hubby, he was away last night .... so so much to catch up on ..... (not)!
