Tommy competed at the Southdode Morningside swimming carnival on the weekend. This was his 3rd year running participating. There were only 1.5 heats of boys 8 years old, compared to five of girls but it was still quite competitive especially against one particular boy.
Tom won the freestyle and backstroke by 2seconds over 25m so that was convincing. He came 2nd by 4 seconds in his breaststroke and Damien couldn't believe that boy could swim that fast but we discovered he won the Brisbane mets for breaststroke. And Tom took 3 rd in butterfly - he is really improving his butterfly doing if in 26.03 seconds.
And look who was a little happy to win 8 year age champion at the event!
Third year in a row his two mates who are brothers and Tom have won age champions at different year levels.
